Concerning CASUAL DRESS in the Pulpit
For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
Like the Corinthian church, sometimes modern apostolics are “out of order.” Somebody needs to please explain to our modern “enlightened” brethren the reason why we have certain dress codes for pulpit ministry–we magnify the office!
The OT priests had very rigid dress codes when they came to minister in the tabernacle. They did not dress like the common people; they were very distinct. It was all part of the HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD concept.
“Nevertheless, Christ is preached….”
For this I am thankful. But pity the poor saints brought up under a ministry that does not place the right value on Holy Things. We are taught some things by precept, others by example.
Qualified to be God’s Mouth
Therefore thus saith the Lord, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth….
Casual dress in the pulpit is but another offshoot of the practice that gave us a casual form of address for the man in the pulpit–where the pastor is Tom or Joe or Bill. And the driving force behind it all is an insidious plot of Hell, well calculated to reduce the Power of the Pulpit by bringing it down to the level of the common man and effectively neutralizing (“neutering”) the voice of the preacher.
Modern Pentecost is mass-producing Gilded Geldings, men who are MASTERS OF THE STAGE but who are SPIRITUALLY IMPOTENT–castrated eunuchs, political puppeteers, dancing and prancing their way to their weekly paycheck.
Go learn what that means….
